Default Idle is way off

I jost got my swap done and every thing is fine...just got done doing the valves and it was iding fine before I did the valves and now when I let off the gas it shuts off. I was wondering if you turn the idle control screw on the throttle body which way does what.....like if you turn it right if that makes it idle higher or if you turn it left it turn the idle down?
