Default code 17

ok here's my problem i get a code 17 like 10 minutes of driving. i replaced the sensor on the tranny and in the cluster. i even replaced my ecu. my speedo is working and i even greased up the cable. and when after a long time of driving like about 20-40 minutes of driving car feels like its going to die out and sometimes it would die out when i'm at idle and i need to keep my revs up so that it won't die out. anyone got any advice on how to fix my problem thanks in advance.

Your wiring is fucked then. The signal from the cluster is not reaching your ECU. Cable driven clusters send the signal rather then the VSS.

IT shouldn't cause any driving problems...you have other issues too.

Ummm no...means your conversion is wrong. I did my conversion and I never had a Code 17 happen until my cable snapped. I replaced the cable and it went away.

The reason your engine is running like **** is do to a bad OBD1 conversion. I hope you made a plug and play harness and didnt cut your factory one.
