Tinting the Tail Lights...
I've gotta take the whole rear bumper off? This can be done at home right? I didn't think it would be THAT much work for it, but I'm willing to cuz i'm sure it will look awesome. thanks!
i had water inside of my rear tailights, my car is still under warranty so it was covered, if u wanna have ur tailights smoked, u gotta remove the whole bumper. I'm sure u already know that, it's easy to remove it, u just need the right tools plenty of light, and ur all set. =]
good luck!

Please tell me your joking. If not, no it goes on the outside of the light.

If you got the Smoked Lamin-X film, they go on the outside of the lights. I did mine with the lights still on the car and it came out great. If you got them from Corsport, they are cut to size. To make life easier for yourself, use a blow drier to heat the film before you install it. Do worry about putting too much water on the light, or having some bubbles. In time, they all go away. Once you have pressed all the excess water out, use the blow drier on the lights with the film on the lights (just don't get it too hot), this will help remove the remaining water and bubbles.
Even though they are cut to size, you still might need to trim a little. Use a very sharp razor and just go slow and careful and you will be fine.
After I finished, I still had little bubbles that drove me crazy for about 3 weeks, but over time they DO all go away.
Looks great now.
