ok guys, been going crazy the past couple weeks on whether or not to finish my ek. If i do infact finish my ek I am torn between NA and Turbo. the long block is at Laskey now, Benson sleeved and awaiting my decision. Now I've got a buddy that threw another idea into the mix.... My 1997 R is already way molested, with a jdm long block and b16 lsd tranny and riddled with dents.....
Should I decide to ditch the ek, find a new DD and make the itr the garage/show car? no this R will never be tracked, just some autoX events before it goes under the knife.... btw, if it went in the R im pretty sure it would stay NA with a setup like this: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1982131
so let me know...

I'd say to go for the R. The R is a way better platform to work on than the EK. And since you're already used to owning one, we don't have to give you the theft speech.
Toss some 11.5:1 (somewhere around that) forged pistons into the sleeved block, throw some really aggressive cams into the head, do a little polishing, Chrome/Hondata/Neptune/AEM, some ITB's if you can afford them, and call it a day.
Just whatever you do, keep rockin the nose mask ... I love the look of a CW with a nose mask

yeah totally, the R or the EK will be garaged whatever I happen to do. hopefully both once i redo the garage.
yeah i was thinking 12:1, the pauter rods, the head already has toda valvesprings, rev ti retainers and 3 angle done by portflow. with kpro and ips mark II's like Brandon has and I should hopefully see similar numbers with my 70mm TB and RBC... thank you for your input and we will see what happens... found some cool lookin ek's today on a search and I yet again fell in love with the shape and overall look...

Rhett, just finish the EK as an N/A car and keep the R the way she is. I know its not totally stock or unmolested, but its not that bad. Oh and you need to start tracking that bitch too! Once 322 comes out here, then its time for some AutoX events.
Oh and if you do rip apart the R, sell me your mirrors. You know the rare ones.

I just checked that link in your first post. I say you ditch the EK shell you have now and get that shell for sale. You know you want a RHD.

pfff, R... neither... Do a cruiser and by cruiser, I mean Impala. 62' If you ask me.
I still haven't seen the shell, course I haven't been in town lately.
Personally, I am going Ferrari
