Default A very delicate and complicated VC spray job....

Hi all,

I am planning on painting the Kamikaze symbol on my D16 valve cover... This has probably been asked before, but I'm gonna ask it again...
Like this:

WITHOUT having to strip the VC or use expensive cleaners, what is the best and easiest way to mask off the VC to spray on the design? It should be fairly difficult because the VC is finished in crinkle paint...

This is what my car should look like once I'm done: (yes it's not the best photochop I know )

mask it with either the blue or green painters tape. you sould also pull the tape off when you finish painting becuase you don't want it to dry on your tape and when you peel it off, you peel some paint off too.
thats very interesting way of painting a valve cover. never seem anything like that.

Aircraft remover is your friend. The stuff is cheap and works like magic. Just spray it on and let it do its thing. Then wipe the VC down, spray with a couple coats of white or almond (you can use either but I like the almond better). Then tape it off spray the red and polish.

Good luck

I like that VC... looks nice. I was thinking something like that for mine, it helps to justify the theme if you are part/full Japanese. All white with the Rising Sun would be pretty cool too
