Default Recent civic timing belt question

Hello,

I have a 94 civic DX and the manual says to change the timing belt every 60k miles. A friend has an 03 civic and her manual says to change it every 110k miles. My question is, do the 03 models have a better quality belt than the older civics? Or is it the same belt but honda has changed their recommendation on how often to change it?

The belt has changed, and so has the motor. Follow what YOUR car says to do with the belt.
