Default Lower RPM power loss (DAM)

On my 1994 honda accord I went with just headers and a 2.25 pipeing exuast (was going to go with the 2.5 or the 3 inch, but I did not want to lose all my low end power .. BUT STILL !!! I lost alot of power in the lower RPM range, but like the post says my top end is better is there any way to bulid my lowend power back up .... a pulley or 2 for EX..... I have about 300$ bucks looking for some help.....

do you have an intake on there? Sounds like a lack of backpressure. Increasing the outflow of the air without matching it with an increased intake of air can result in a loss of torque. seems like you kind of know the principle. Buy something from AEM or INjen or just get a cheap ebay intake and throw a k&N Filter on there and i nearly promise you'll feel it all back. As for pulleys, they worked for me, but i've gotten mixed reviews from others. very slight gains, but noticable. Also might have led to my increased gas mileage, but that could just be from not driving so heavy. $100 for an intake + $200 for pulleys. sounds good to me.
