Default OBD0 to OBD1 swap no start

i have a crx si did the obd1 swap with a b20 with a b18 head, came out of a running ef, car wont start.

have spark, when plugs are pulled can smell the fuel.

when it does start it runs for half a second then dies, using the vtec frog harness, go to check the engine light by grounding out the service check connector the engine light just stays on.

did the correct dizzy pin swap, havent connected the heated o2 yet, will that cause the car to not start? just want to see it run.

You aren't using the connector right. You don't ground it, your bridge it. Stick a wire from one side to the other side of the same plugs (2 wire plug). It will flash cause it does it mine.

Of course, it will only flash if the proper wire is going to the proper pin on the ECU. In other words, your conversion has to be correct.

well i used the crx harness, repinned the dizzy as per instructions found on honda tech, and am using a 92 teg pr4 ecu with a vtec frog jumper harness, the vtecfrog instructions online state that you ground the yellow wire to read the service codes, am i doing something wrong?

Yes. You need to look under your dash, on the right side of the clove box. There will be a 2 pin service connector taped to your harness, remove the tape and jump the plug. The light will blink.
