Perfect Build of an H22A
Alright, heres the story. I bought a honda accord 97 about 6 months ago. It was cheap and looked nice, came with an H22 (no chip) exaust, headers, intake. I never took interest in motors and fast cars and such.... Now I'm interested.
Lets say I have a VERY NICE AMOUNT OF MONEY. If I wanted to completely build an H22A, what would this include. Down to every brand, and every piece. And if completely built, is it safe to turbo it? Anyway, a listing of the pieces and brands, as well as the price would be very interesting. I'm thinking about going to school for auto mechanics, so we'll see. THANKS for your time. Have fun

No chip? Huh??
You have ALOT to learn before trying to put together a built and turbo charged motor. Use the search button, located in the upper right hand corner. There is already tons of info on this subject.

thats too open of a question and your going to get extremely varying replies. You need to be more specific as to narrow down the replies you'll get.
A built all-motor engine is different from a built turbo engine. There are different things to consider and take into account for.
Prices are going to vary just as much as the replies. Different places sell for different prices.
Whats you plan for the car? Daily Driver? Daily Drive with some auto-x on weekends? Track only? Drag? etc....
Whats you power goals?

Well, as of now, I want the car to be a daily driver, and yeah on the weekends have a little fun. Lets go ahead and say scratch the turbo... probably too many problems with that anyway.... Now when I say daily driver... I mean daily driver. I've learned my lesson in ******* a car repeatidly with minimum work. I'll drive the car like its normal and treat it with more care the 2nd time around. This is why I want to rebuild the engine, so it can withstand more power or just withstand power alone....
I know I have alot to learn about engines and such... but I'm only moving forward in my knowledge.
I guess I'll be going all-motor, it sounds better... I'm looking to keep this car for a while, and keep working on it as its needed. I guess a better question would be.... What pieces on the whole engine can be upgraded to have better performance and an engine that will actually last and hold together for a good amount of time>? And what brands are the best for each component? And then an estimate of how much it would be. I'm not looking for exacts, I'd just like a better idea. I can further research the pieces and other things. thx again
