Default motor question.

i got a old 94 gsr motor, it puffs blue on start-up and now at higher rpm's when shifting... i think the whole motor needs to be re-done.. I have absolutely no idea what im doing when it comes to motors,,(btw) but i was wondering would ITR pistons fit the gsr bottom and top end? also if i would do that what would i need to do about cams? i know i need new 1's this motor has alot on it, but still start and still pulls decent in my aspect of cars.

Really my big Q's are---- Cams Crank (how much to mill, and wat kind of bearings. Would the cylinder walls need to be honned or whatever.

Im sorry for the stupid Q's i really am but i just do not understand what all needs to be done and it worries me so much about taking it out. it oveerwhelms me

If you don't know or trust yourself than take it to somebody that knows what they are doing.

bearings - my prefferred acl
rings- beck arnely or w/e with lifetime warranty
yes the cyl walls need at least a deglaze
yes itr pistons will work,

go buy a hanyes manual or take it to someone else

mill just enough for a resurf becuase if you go too deep the valves might meet the type r piston becuase its higer compression

cams dont wear like normal parts in an engine they prolly are fine, if you want you an get them checked or check yourself to see if they are still in tolerances
