Not quite..

For starters, I doubt VSA affects a 2nd gear chirp at all. You really aren't spinning the tires long enough for VSA to kick in. When I chirp second, even after a hard shift, the VSA ! light doesn't come on.

And for a good launch, VSA should be off. A good launch is going to include wheelspin. With VSA on, once the wheels start spinning, it'll cut fuel and slow you down for the tires to stop. If you launch without wheelspin, you're launching too softly and not taking advantage of the fact that you drive a manual and not an auto.

So why did you say "Not quite.." when you re-worded everything that was already said...

Google is great... Type in "how to launch a car" and you can find exactly what you are looking for...

Tell your parents to take away your Si and you want a VW Rabbit... You dont need to be behind the wheel of anything sporty...

If you can get it into the 14's your better then professional drivers... Since a professional driver got it to hit 15.2 with the high performance tires...

Give it a couple more years, your still only 20... You learn a lot from 16-18 and you learn a WHOLE LOT from 18-24...

You never got in trouble with it or you never got caught? Just because you never wrecked, or got busted doesnt mean you were a safe driver...
