Default Accord + Ram air intake!!

yo, check yourself before you wreck yourself. j/k. Anyways I was bored and I have wanted to try to do this for a long time. So I got some thin steel and some sweet pipe and made a short ram intake. The results? Up to about 50mph, nothing noticiable, but extremely good throttle response. From then on it is really helpful, I do notice a little bit more power, especially around 80. I have not gone any faster then 80, but nonetheless I really do like it. You people can call me a ricer or what ever; flame on. But I LIKE IT.

good lord that's ugly....

You do know that the air filter will dissipate any pressure that "ram air" will make right?

uhhh oh jeez

for creativity

but for minor error: that thing looks like it will become a shovel and ur gonna suck up rocks and dead birds in ur motor, that and water

maybe you should have the ram in the bumper intake, or make a cutout, mugen style lol

but the hose should just empty into a higher capacity, sealed box imo

but im no engineer, yet

I gotta admit. Thats ricer status. Dirty car, everything was abused. But hey thats ok.

Anyways I love the project. It is a good idea. The faster you go the more air. So basicly like semi-turbo. I give props to you for making that things. you might be on to something. Anyways my only suggestion is to put the intake in the center. And make it more flat.

It's the same concept that the t/a use, and what my old 87 f150 has, except routing air from the grill area.

Good idea, awful execution. Don't be mad cause people don't like your ideas but try and plan it out a bit more and post it up again.

I agree with muffler, good idea but horrible execution of the job. Looks like a three year old tossed that stuff together.

Pool Hose?
the curved sheet metal "heat shield"
etc

Could've been done much better

that might be one of the worst attempts at welding i've ever seen.

tack,,,......tack,,,,,,,,,,.,..gap.gap.gap.gap...t ack

if it was practical i might approve. But I'm sorry it's........well...... impractical.

I can't wait till that thing rots out.
