ECU ?
Is there a difference in an ECU for a manual vs. auto transmission? I ask this because I have a 91 Hatch DX auto converted to manual with a b16a swap and I am putting a d15 in after rewiring and can't find info as to if the original PR5 out of the DX will work after the auto to manual change or I need an ECU for a manual trans?
yes there is a differance.
your putting a b16a with a manual tranny in and then putting a d15 in?
why would you put a b16a in and then a d15...
i beleave the pm5 is for the dpfi manual tranny
and a pm6 is for an mpfi manual tranny
but if your putting in a b16a... then i think a p75 ecu is what you want...
dont quote me on those exact ecu's but i do know auto and manual's use dif. ecu's

I installed the B16 in the hatch 2 years ago and my son has decided he would like it in the CRX Si, 89 model. What I need to know is will the pm5 ECU work with the D15 even though it originally was an ECU for an auto trans that has been changed to manual.
The b16a is using a pr3 ECU from a 91 JDM Honda Integra and will be used in the CRX.

sorry but u need the PM6 which is the stock ecu for the crx/civic si from a 88-91 which is for the M/t. the PM5 will not work unless u plan on down grading the car. just find a PM6 if u plan on keeping the car MPFI.
