How do I remove the center console (cup holder and arm rest) 2002 accord?
Hi, I am trying to remove the center console, the part that is under the shift, cup holders, and arm rest. i got the four screws on the bottom back (two on the left and two on the right side next to the seats). then i got the two screws that were under the plastic plate when you open up the hand rest. i tried to wiggle it out, but i couldn't, so i figure i'm missing some screws? can anyone tell me how to remove the whole thing? it's a 2002 v6 4 door honda accord. thanks in advance!
Grab the cup holder/cover and pull that out. It's held in by clips. Remove the trim around the shifter (auto, not sure if stick has this). Pull up on the trim that covers the top of the console. That's held in by clips also. Under that, you will see 2 screws up front (that hold the tray in place (with the power outlet)), 2 more behind the shifter. Remove all those. Then take out the plastic cover from the storage compartment (which you already mentioned) and remove those 2 screws. You will need to remove the plate over the tray (with power outlet; under the radio); it's held in by 4 clips. Under that you will find a screw that holds the panel under the steering wheel and glove box (one for each side). Then you will need to open up both doors, remove the fuse panel access covers, and remove the 2 screws on each side. Pop off both of those panels. There will be 2 screws on each side of the center console (very front) which need to be removed. At this point, the center console should be loose. Now if you want to remove it, you will have to play with the shifter and parking brake to get enough room to wiggle it out.
