Waxing your windshield

Like the topic says, can you wax your windshield?

A friend of mine told me not to, because it will eat up your wiper blades?

I don't see why not, IF it is buffed out all the way.

So, who got the info?

Just use rain-x. I've heard that the wax they use in car washes will eat your wipers up, but I'm not sure about regular wax.

yep rain-x on all windows.....it even saves me from having ot use windshield wipers sometimes. the water just beads and flies off.

according to another post. rain-x is a sealant and can cause the wipers to skip, jump, whatever you call it. waxing your windows can be done instead.

I use normal wax on all my windows except the windshield! The reason is because when you go to use your windshield wipers you get a smuggy film on the windshield which doesn't help you to see!
