cleaning gunk off plastic dashboards?
Hello i have some very sticky **** stuck to the dashboard on my car. whoever installed the window b4 i got it used some sorta caulking and its leaked onto the plastic on my dash and the plastic around the windshield. . .what would be good to use to get this crap off ive tried simple green it seemed to just smear it around even after scrubbing the **** out of it. also it will not seem to dry up and harden like most things do it stays sticky and in a gel sorta form.
pls help if anyone has any ideas i was thinking maybe acetone or paint thinner dont wanna expletive anything up tho. . .

This is what I use (de-solv-it), to remove adhesive type stuff:

I normally use one towel with the cleaner, and a separate clean towel and alternately wiping to remove the adhesive. After the adhesive is removed, I wipe it down with water, just in case, so nothing else is remove from any residual cleaner.

Thank you exactly the advice i could use ill give this stuff a try. i figured there was something worthy other then acetone or paint thinner. what a brainfart idea that would have been.
