Transmission Question/Identity?
Hey guys, My dad was recently at a industrial surplus place and called me to tell me they had a honda tranmission there, after saying it said LSD on the side and was brand new i told him to put it in his cart and wait for me to get there haha. Well needless to say i bought it, it appears brand new to me, and from the research ive done on here it is a Type R tranmission, I believe its from a 2000-2001 itr correct?? and is equipped with a 4.4FD? Any thing else you guys can tell me about it would be great, it will be put on my soon to be turbo LS.
Pics:

Appearntly it had been sitting on a back shelf for 3 years! and was never put out for sale until a couple days ago.

Probably the 4.4 fd unless they get jdm stuff? I don't see a markings from a old vin imprint, possibly a brand new trans from the dealer. Nice pick up, how much did you score it for?

Looks like you got a winner. Now go buy some scratch tickets while your luck holds up

Im thinking its new from the dealer also. with how clean it is, i doubt its the jdm model so i was assuming the 4.4 was in it.

That transmission does in fact have a 4.40 final drive, which is evident by the J4D marking next to LSD. These were the transmissions that were on all USDM ITRs, not just the 00-01. It could also be a JDM transmission, as 96-97 spec were identical to the USDM ones.
