Thank you to all those that have fallen!
I was thinking alot about the things I read on this board and the topic of theft is probably one of the most talked about issues (which is a shame). I really hate to beat a dead horse, but I thought I put a small twist on the whole topic.
Now, let me set the record straight. I almost never reply to a post stating that another ITR is stolen mainly because it sickens me to my stomach. One day someone is saying "Sorry for your loss" and the next day that same person is saying "My car was stolen." I'm afraid I will be the next on this long list.
Now, my point: I'd like to say "Thank you" to every ITR owner that has ever had the stomach to start a post stating their car was stolen.
Before everyone rips me a new ***, hear me out. When I first got my ITR almost 2 years ago, I really didn't know how much of an issue theft was with these cars. Honestly, it seems to have gotten much worse over the past six months, but fact is that I parked my car outside with almost no theft preventation. After reading post after post of stolen ITRs, it all finally sunk in.
My quiet little town is not as safe as I thought it was. Just last summer, a few people who had no business being on my road were definately shopping for ITR parts. Because of the "Stolen" posts on this board, I immediately confronted the *******. They gave me some line of crap and they could tell that I knew they were lying throught their teeth. I later found out that they stole a Type R a few years back and I gathered all the information on them that I could. I took many many measures to insure my car's safety as well as my own. Although, I now feel a little (I mean a little) more at ease, I still am greatly worried that the dreadful day will come. Fortunately for me, I am at lease prepared if the situation should arise.
So "THANK YOU" to all those that have fallen. I sympathize with your loss, but the information you all provided did not go aimlessly out into cyberspace. It was of great use to this car lover. Thank you all again.

Because of all the car theft posts, I have installed hood locks, removed the power door lock switch, and re-wired my alarm.
Also, as of next week all of the emblems on my car will be removed to prevent vandalism and too much unwanted attention.
