i haven't found a muffler shop yet that will make me a full 3in catback for my car , those stupid hillbillies say that its a waste and they wont do it....But i guess my friend just found one that will do it. Did u guys have this problem when u guys got your exhaust done. Also is anyone using the turbo Dunk exhaust????if so how do u like it , is it load???

 

that sucks. if you were from california, i could recommend one to you. if worse comes to worse... just order a catback from thermal or the new greddy turbo exhaust.

you can just buy the mandrel bends that you need from jcwhitney.com and have them weld it for you at the shop

There is a company called VRS exhaust that sells kits up to 3" , mild steel or stainless, they are pretty cheap. They advertise in the back of the sports car mags. They might be on the web.

 

I just ordered from VRS, 3" stainless catback piping for $200. Local shops wanted $350 for the aluminized stuff.

nope strickly for 2 door integs. and its not street legal.

 

Cops have been pretty cool about exhausts lately. Haven't heard of anyone getting an exhaust ticket in a while.

I got one about 2 months ago on the freeway. I have a 3" Thermal on my 94 GSR.
When I was pulled over the cop said "Do you know why I pulled you over?" I said "No officer...why". He says "Because of your aftermarket exhaust" I asked him "Is it to loud?"...he says "No.....but any modification to the factory system is illegal". I wasn't going to argue since the 3" Thermal says "Off road use only" under the tip......oh well. Weird thing was it wasn't even a fixit ticket. I was a straight $4x.xx (can't remember exact amount) fine.....oh well. This was on the 405 by the venice off ramp (Santa Monica).

 

i would also like to know where i could get a VRS catback for 200???

 

I don't see VRS listed under the dealers there.
