B-Pipe(exhaust) Needed, Bolt or Weld?
First, this is for a 1999 Civic EX Sedan.
I took my car to get an oil change and to ask them(the honda dealer) to seewhere the exhaust leak was comming from. They looked at the B-Pipe fitting and saw that the connection between the muffler and the b-pipe was rusted out.
I quickly looked at the b-pipe on the car and it seems to only be a bolt on type of fitting, is that correct? I see along the way there are fittings that hold it to the car with thick rubber bands but are those already welded to the pipe from the factory?
If its bolt on, I am thinking of doing it myself. But if its not a bolt on, ill get the part and have a local muffler shop put it on. I am probably going to get the part from HondaAutomotiveParts.com. Or does Advance Auto or Autozone have it? It doesnt show up as b-pipe tho. would it be called the "mid"?
Thanks
