Default I am cleaning out my EGR ports, need help!

Once I drill a hole in the ports, how do I get them out? I already broke a extraction drill off in one port.

use a slide hammer. home depot has them or you can rent one from most tool rental places. they are about $30 i think to buy, or $10-$15 to rent.

You have a slide hammer off of an '01 ? Nice, I've been looking around for one of those. How much ? Is it from a Prelude? ((( hahahahahahah lol )))

I still don't know what you are trying to sell. Topic is about a slide hammer and you're talking about your '01 lude.

Jdrizzle you are in the wrong here. reading owns you. So how about we just cut our loss's and try not to make this thread any worse. He is talking about egr ports not egr valve. which apparently is what you are trying to sell.

Jbirch you need to use a slide hammer. I drilled and then tapped them and used a slide hammer with a bolt to take them out. I have a pdf of how to do it. if you pm me your email address I can send it.

If the slider fails you can always use a diamond tip reverse drill bit as well

If the slider fails you can always use a diamond tip reverse drill bit as well. I have cleaned many EGR ports and the build up is horrible. TL's have a huge problem with that as do RL's. The best way to drill is to start off with a small bit to loosen the carbon build up and the increase bit size, do not touch the aluminum
