Won't turn over as in it won't even crank or it cranks and it just won't start?

Sounds like the main relay to me.

I had a problem with my car like this many years ago. Turned out to be a worn out dist. cap.

When was the last time you changed it? In fact, when was the last time you changed the plugs, plug wires, dist. cap., and rotor?

Main relay.. I thought it was my plugs and wires.. Replaced that.. Now I when I go to meet up with friends I leave my car on because sometimes when I go to crank it.. it'll turn on but then it'll die off immediately.. Sometimes I can save it by revving the engine when I start it but sometimes it'll just bog down immediately.. embarassing too, I left from school early the other day.. Started my car it died off. I sat there for 30 mins.. every 5 mins i'd try to crank it over and try to save it by giving it gas.. Sucked.. but I finally got it. I believe its the main relay thats over heating? Because it only happens after I turn my car on and off a bunch of times in a short period of time.
