So My A/c hasn't worked since I got my 96 Civic EX over a year ago. I haven't really bothered with it all winter. I want something to cool my car down while in the hot traffic. I've found some steps on diagnosing individual components but still have some questions.
Does the A/C Fan spin at idle when the A/C is on? How can I tell if the compressor is working? noises? My idle does go up when I turn the a/c on but it blows hot air. I got one of those recharge kits at walmart that has a gauge to tell the pressure of the system and it checks out to hold well. So any tips, tricks or stories would probably help.

mine is charged at 45 psi but blows "kinda" cold air

look if the ac clutch catches when u turn the ac on

 

I can see like a "propeller" like thing spinning at idle. It stops when i rev it up? Not sure how its supposed to work?

 

ok look wgher ethe belt is on the outside there is like 3 bolts

have someone turn the ac on and watch to see if the disk with the 3 bolts begins to spin
