Ok heres my story. For some reason people think that I race because I added a body kit to my car but my reason for getting one was good well until now. Ok, so a few months ago I got into a bad accident that caused my whole back bumper to look completey fu**ed up. So I went around quoting prices to get a new bumper and to get a factory bumper prices were around 250-300 bucks well thats what the different mechanics said. So instead of me getting a factory bumper I went online and found me an aftermarket back bumper that was around 175$ not only was it cheaper but it looked better as well. So, after I bought it, it made my car look better from the back that is until you pulled around to the side and saw this back bumper was hanging lower than the rest of the car, which looked arkward to me. So this was when I decided to get the rest of the kit from side skirts and the front bumper just to even the car out. From me doing that it made my car look nice but for some reason it brought some unwanted attention. Now all I have are the basic bolt on short ram intake, headers, and I split the pipe on the exhaust to fill in that extra exhaust gap on the back bumper just for looks. Now every time I go out some where people with these other brands of rides think that Im a racer because of the way my ride looks. I get ever thing from loud engine revs, to people pulling up beside me then taking off as if I gave the the knod to go. My whole intention for getting a kit was to even out the way it looked and for more attention from the females, but not for racing especially for an auto. why is it that I cant just have a decent looking car with out all the extra attention. I would see if I had a 1000 different stickers and logos like alot of these other cars around here do but for me its just for looks. I guess you got to have some good with the bad.

anyways yeah what he said dont pay them any attention i got mine painted ... and my uncle wanted to do something unique to it he painted skyline graphics and i get it 2. jsut get used to it they wanna look cool

 

no the body kit doesnt make you a ricer. it only makes you a ricer if you make yourself a ricer. See i've got quite a few exterior mods. Nothing extreme like a body kit though, just all Factory **** from Tokyo. You can open my hood to find a stock f22b1. Not even an intake. And guess what i still have asshats pull up next to me and do the happy throttle b.s. But i pay no attention and every single one of them seems to dissapear into that other crowd known as Rice. You know.....if people want to race why can't they just bring it to the track.

Lol. Reminds me of a couple nights ago. I was on my way home and some tool in his p.o.s. Golf wanted to race. Of course I said no from past experiences and he started yelling at me and took off then I saw a cop up ahead and my radar started to go crazy and the idiot himself didnt see him and doesn't have a radar and he got pulled over. What a tool Take anything that involves a race to a track

Nahhhhhh jk. A body kit that is mounted properly and goes along the lines with the car is a in my book. What type of body kit, may i ask?

And as for rice. No. Ricers are the ones who do the revving, and have the excessive unneeded parts (myself). People that fly by you whn your not even racing and put on their hazards to signal they won. And I love the WOT than brakes to not hit the car right in front of them.

first off, this belongs in GDD, since there is really nothing technical in here. and, if i didnt know of your situation and saw you, yea i would probably think your a ricer, even more so since assuming you have a black widow kit since you went with a dual exhaust to fill the exhaust hole sin your rear bumper, generally thats considered rice in the community because it serves no real performance benefits except added weight.

but expletive it man....even if i wont/dont like it. if anyone is going to like your car, it might as well be you. just dont drive like a jackass, obey traffic rules, use road manners, and everyone will be happy. as far as the people trying to race you, they're the ones who look like jackasses blasting off the line on a green, not you.
