mugen metal clutch set
Is anyone currentley using this? I was wandering how they liked it. Spirited daily driving with weekend track duty. Sounds like a good clutch for that. How's the feel, pedal pressure, wear etc...Did a recent topic search and archived for "mugen clutch" and got one responce. Anyone have anything else for me? Thanks.
Actually I also was wondering about some other mugen parts as well. Anyone have the mugen LSD? Lowdown suspension? 30mm front sway bar? Would love to get feedback on any of these parts as well. Any need for heavy duty bracing for the front bar? I know I need to re-brace for the 22mm rear bar...by the way this is a 99si. I figured I would ask you guys because this is where I spend all my time. Thanks again.
the mugen clutch is very lightwieght..not much more clamping force over stock though..and not very much material on the friction disc....
but overall a very good strip/street clutch.....
engages a little harder, but pedal feels same as stock

do you want MORE understeer ?
why dont you get the rear bar (22 mm )on first and then get some real spring rates , ZYGspeed runs both front and rear bars because he couldnt keep both rear tires on the ground , he also runs R compound tires everyday , but I really think that a LARGER front bar will only be needed with large front to rear spring differences IE - 300 f / 700 r
or more
mugen lowdown ? why dont you just get a little more spring in the back and see how well your current set-up can do ON THE TRACK
I swear I waste my breath when I talk to you people
mugen LSD - pretty sure its gonna be a high maint. piece made for circuit racing , probably overpriced and not really optimal for your app.
Quaife or ITR is great and ALL you would need
and its not "re-brace"ing if its not there to begin with
lastly , if you want a nice clutch why wouldnt you just with an exedy , great clutch and not OVERPRICED

Chill. All I was doing was weighing out my options. First I don't have the $$$ to drop for a mugen lsd unless it would be worth it over the quaife. 2nd I have never seen the low down suspension before and was just wandering if it was anything special. I've already dropped $700 on my current spring/strut set-up so I don't plan on dropping a grand on another suspension unless it was worth it. Same with the clutch. I've already ordered a clutchmasters stage 1 and there flywheel. So again I don't plan on it. I recenetly just checked out king's website just to see what they had and thought I would ask just to make sure. You know if there is something better out there for your application then you would want it to and if all you do is waste your breath....then why waste it?
mr milano, actually ive heard nothing but good comments from people who have the lowdowns
i know i want a set, but right now i am focused on learning how to drive the car good on the stock suspension.
