Default Type SH shock removal

In the helms it says that one needs to disconnect the radius rod at the knuckle end. Can the fork not drop down with it in place?

im not exactly sure about the SH... but on the base model, you remove the fork 1st. if i remember correctly, it was a 14mm bolt. not sure if this helps but i hope it does.

No, it can't. The radius rod blocks the bolt that holds the fork in place.

When you reinstall, insert the bolt from the opposite side, and you won't have to pop the radius rod ball joints again for a spring/shock r&r.
