EX Megan Headers On 94 LX Accord?
I wanna get some headers on my lx 94 accord but most of them say "EX". The only ones ive found that would "fit" my car are no name ones like off ebay. Is the bold pattern or something else different on the EX from the LX?
the bolt patterns are the same at the head and the cat.
The difference between the stock EX and Stock LX manifolds and downpipes is that the EX has a 4-2-1 design while the LX/DX has a 4-1 design. Also, the o2 sensor on the LX/DX is located in the primaries section of the manifold while on the EX the o2 sensor is located at the end of the downpipe.
You can put a header for the EX onto your LX, all you have to do is extend the wiring for the o2 sensor so it reaches down to the end of the downpipe.
Now on the stock exhaust, there is an extra pipe at the end of the downpipe on the EX, thats where the o2 sensor is located. I don't know if the aftermarket header for the EX replaces that or not, I would assume it would but I never replace the header on my 95 EX with an aftermarket one so I'm not sure.
