Your car feels weak before vtec because it is weak before vtec. Not to sound like a dick but what did you think a ITR ECU was going to magically make up for the fact that you have the weakest Vtec B-series motor from Honda.

Unless you have more in your motor then just bolt ons (Which if you do then give us the full story so we can help you) your car will feel like a regular B16A.....period. No stock Honda ECU will change that (Well besides the Vtec X-over).

i have a 2000 Si with a CTR ecu. i also have the cams, JDM ITR header, ITR intake manifold, ITR valve springs, and ITR AEM CAI

my crossover is until 6200 rpms. i thought i was the dash(2000 ITR cluster) but i plugged in a 6200 rpms pill into my shift light and it's accurate. is that the way it's supposed to be? also my rev limiter is 9100 rpms. i put a 8800 rpm pill to check it and it lit up when the dash hit 8800 rpms, so it's not the dash being off

Uh...the ITR ECU is designed for a 1.8 litre motor. If you are using it on a B16 motor, you'll be giving it too much fuel.

did you read my post right???? "it feels like i'm BACK to a B16 MOTOR" and before you go asuming stolen type-r give me your e-mail and i will scan the salvaged integra title in my own name and send it to you....

So this is the type-r feel, little low end power, but everything you want above 6 grand.... it ran good for city driving with the b16 ecu you don't have to beat on it as much to get it going some, i love beating on it now though with ITR ECU...

Why would you put an itr ecu in your 99Si? That makes no sense right there.

It is designed for a b18c, which you don't have.

What do you mean? 'feels like I'm back to a b16 motor', you said you put an ecu in only!

Stock tachs are off, vtec kicks in at 5700.

Also, an itr ecu is not going to make you any power, just dump too much fuel on your b16.

Edit: maybe you should have told us what engine you had in the car, since it doesn't state it anywhere in the post.

BTW - This thread is f-ing retarded. If you don't know the vtec xover point and can't find it in the search, maybe you shouldn't be using this site at all. It is one of the easiest pieces of information to find out, like asking the CW paint code or engine code.

from your post, it sounds like you mean you have a 2000 SI B16 motor and all you did was change the ECU. Anyone agree? Or did you mean that you have the whole swap from an ITR and you're running the ITR ECU too and that it feels weak down under vtec?? I only drove a type R once and didn't step to vtec so I dunno. Motor is loud as heck though

He said he put an ITR ecu in his '99 Si.
Nowhere did he say 'swap' and 'ecu' together.
Then he gets pissed at us since he can't create an informative, intelligent post.

This is the dumbest thread in a string of very dumb threads that have been popping up lately.

easy buddy.... some people arent as articulate as they should be on the net...

i agree - the search function needs to be used more often. but its a public board... new people will be logging on all the time and learning lots of "newb" info.

we were all there once

I'm always ready to attack, Andrew!
He got crazy first. It's amazing to me that he is going to fly off the handle after not giving us any good info.

Search is pretty good here, I almost always find what I am looking for.

But, most people probably just try the first thing that comes to their mind, can't find what they are looking for, and don' t bother to try the archives, or different search word combinations.

oh well. Darwin is coming....

Edit: 291 days, been here longer than me. He ain't no newb.

Yes, we read your post correctly. You, however, failed to write it correctly. How in the hell are we supposed to know that you meant you had an ITR motor when you stated that you plugged in an ITR ecu into your 99Si?

-Dave, who is not a mind reader.
