Air conditioning: From sanden to matsushita
I have a 91 HF that came stock with a sanden. Did a d15b vtec swap that now has a matsu. My stock lines are still sanden. Will I be able to change out the lines so they match the matsu? I just need to know what to do to get my a/c working.
use your sanden compressor? the other one is probably made for r134 not r12. So your system probably wont function properly anyway with that one
Well, living in arizona and being female makes ripping it out not an option. My old sanden doesn't work. So it will bolt up even though the engine now is meant for a matsu?
Sanden compressors have different hose mounting configuration. You will need to replace your existing with sanden. I am not sure about the A/C Bracket, you might have to use your old one from the other engine. If you want to use the Matsu, you will need to change your stock lines to match the matsu and replace all your seals and dryer.
Well I'm going to be selling the car within 6 months, I just can't make it through another summer without a/c here. Basically, we have a rebuilt matsu, and a dryer at the moment. Which would be more cost effective/easier? Making the matsu work by getting the right hoses and seals or getting the sanden? Thanks for your help!
i think it's cheaper to go with sanden, but go and shop for the hoses and compare.
