Default Theft issues with the Fit?

My girlfriend is pretty close to picking up a fit. Unfortunately, it's going to be parked outside. I don't think there would be any mods on the car for awhile. I'm going to hook her up with all the security mods that I can.

Does anyone here have experience with theft regarding their fit? Ever heard of any stories? What did they take? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Jet

The Fit is a relatively new vehicle.

I have not heard of any thefts regards to this vehicle.

Neighbors purchased several Fits and leave them sitting outside and no problems have occured.

Good Luck

they have the laser cut keys and security imobilzers inside the key. plus, i am not sure why anyone would want to steal a fit. the point of stealing a car is not to joy ride in it, but to strip it down. i only see possibly the wheels and seats being stolen. or, any aftermarket stereo stuff you may have on it.

I don't think the Fits will be big theft magnets. Just get some wheel locks if you get a Sport.

Exactly, what are they gonna do swap our 1.5L Fit motors into their 1990 Civic Hatches? lol.

Hey, I like my sport wheels!

There's a bunch of reason people steal cars. Joy riding, stealing parts to use on their car and selling OEM parts for big money.

i got that GPS tracking thing from the dealership , its $79 a year , but i can find my car anywhere it is by going to the alarm companies website, i can even set off or turn off the alram by loggin in that way , plus if the car is moved more than 2 feet from its original position the alram company texts me a message and then calls me to make sure the car is okay

i got wheel and rim coverage , glass, regular factory alarm

i am more than prepared this time if someone wants my slow honda
