F22 Port Polish
Just wanted to know???? what's a good price on a Port & Polish on a 1994 Honda Accord Ex 2.2 v-tech and whould it even make a diff. OR is there other options??? I got about 500 bucks
First off, its Vtec, not Vtech. Second, talk to a machine shop and ask them how much it will cost. Also, ask them if they have experience porting a polishing heads for performance work. Personally, I wouldent have my head ported unless the shop had a flow bench to actuially see how much it has improved. But thats just my $.02
If you're doing an All Motor or turbo people try to get everything in the best condition as possible which is why that would be done. If you're just 100% stock or close to it then it won't be as useful

stop with the flaming already......this v-tech joke is getting old.
I wouldnt be surprised if you see a price well over 1000 for a properly done port and polish. Especially if you have the right shop do it like DC4 said. Yes a port and polish is always beneficial. No matter the application. It truly depends on the "stage" port and polish you want. Your only grazing the surface with just a port and polish. You might have to look into new valves, valve springs, retainers, valve stem seals, cams, cam gears. Parts alone for a true port and polish will run you well over 500.
Is your car stock? Perhaps you could take that 500 bucks and put it into something different. Intake, header, Exhaust, Wheels, Suspension. Keep it simple to start. Frankly i'd be quite embarrassed to have someone ask me what's done on my ride and the only answer i have is a "port & polish".

Well one option is getting a h23 oem intake manifold, its alot bigger and makes a lil difference. Another is doing what i did and getting a H23 Skunk2 Intake Manifold. F22 intake is alot smaller then the h23 intake.
There is a web site that you can ship your intake to and they will port and polish your throttle body and intake manifold. And the pricing is right at your budget.

The h23 intake manifold swap is the cheapest route of maybe 100 at most.

x2
If someone has already corrected the person there is no reason to continue on with it. They made a mistake, they were corrected, nothing more is required.

well honestly is the h23 im swap worth it what are the gains from it if its only gonna run me about 100 ide be really intersted in looking into it.
With this swap youll see more low to mid range power. Take off improves Much. which the accord lacks the most . Youll see at most 5-7 hp gain. This upgrade is usually done for a turbo application. But either way youll see the difference. And another this is youll have to reroute all the vaccum , fuel, coolant, ect lines to accomodate the h23 intake. Youll need the Thermostat housing for the h23 intake also. Oh Almost forgot, If your vtec than you must use your throttle body. I think I covered everything
