Default H22A questions

WHat's goin' on everyone. I'm new to this website, just found it through a friend of mine. I own an Accord 97 ex. I gota h22a under the hood. Recently I was racing a new lexus on the interstate for about 5 minutes straight going constantly 90-120 mph. AFterward, I pull off the interstate arriving to my house and I hear a knocking noise. Sounds like something is clinging on the inside of the engine. The more the engine is reved(spelling) the more the sound escalates. ANy information on what this noise may be will be a great deal of help. Thx for your time.

Default Re: H22A questions (hondaaccord613)

well first off if you have a h22a unless you have it chipped you didn't go pass 112-115mph. jdm h22's have a governor on them. second, it could be anything. depends on the maintenance on your car. could be something in the valvetrain, could be in the bottom end. what is your oil level like.
