Damn you dustin.... I wish my ish spooled that quick... big turbo + not that much lag + massive cfm =

Although having a stock exhaust I have the advantage of hearing the turbo SCREAM at low spool and its loud enough that you can hear it fairly far away... big turbos are plain sexy.

What gear are we talking about? I've noticed 2nd gear takes longer than 3rd.

same here, but i dont have a 3 inch exhaust. I got a tanabe hyper medallion and hit same spool time. I dont know if its because majestic turbo put a little bullet tip inside the compressor side. He said it would help spool faster, so maybe thats why.

Mine kicks in at 2800 RPM and makes 10 PSI at 3,700 RPM with a 2.5 inch downpipe and 2.5 exhaust, no cat convertor. 7.5 lb flywheel.

Its a t3/t4, .60 compressor a/r .63 exhaust a/r

And this is without a boost controller. So I'm sure it'll kick in even faster with a boost controller.

boosting in final gear :D I'm auto so that would be 4th, and I boost looong in 4th on the freeway to get up hills... its almost unavoidable... of course I'm only talking 1-3psi max... unless I'm given her some gas...

Now I am confused. I read before that it was not a good idea because of too much stress on the engine.

It's very hard to boost in 1st. Is that because my turbo is non-bb?

i have a Tbo3. In 4th and 5th, full boost of about 7.Xpsi is reached at between 3-3.5k.

Its bad if you boost in 5th for miles and miles and miles and miles. Trust me I have done it and paid the piper for doing it.
