i just bought a set of 4 tokico illumina adjustable adjustable shocks. I had the install down and i was driving around and i heard this like loose rattling noise. so i popped my hood and i noticed that my strut was like sticking through the whole. My dad seems to think it is the stock dustboot getting in the way. All I have on the strut rod is the dustboot+bushing+long rod washer thing+bushing and the strut cap.... Any suggestions? Maybe remove the dust boot? I don't know how important it is.

that's what happened when i blew one of my illuminas
the rod shot through and actually put a dent in my hood.
how come i dont see a washer in yoru combo?
there are washers that sit on the rod that keep it from coming up through the tower, thats probably your problem.
