need help vtec doest work "UGRGENT"
hey everyone i put my motor back in and everything is plug in all the harnest are plugged in but for some reason vtec doesnt work ! i take it up past 6000 rmp and it sounds like you put a non rev limiter ecu and you take it up to like 10000 it feels like that where theres no power or nothing it just loses hella power after 6000 i have a jdm b16 in my 2000 honda civic. thanks and hopefully you guys can help me out im thinking vtec solenoid ? could i be right ?
no befor i had a stock b16a2 i took it out to get pistons and everything get it re-built and i had this jdm b16 built and ready to be drop it and wanting to try it out for track this year and re-build the b16 but im gonna juss sell the block cause i got a gsr block and gonna use my head and build a poorman type r for next year . but yeah thats why i took it out .
not sure what your problem is, but i would recommend that you discontinue revving your b16 to 10,000 rpm, unless you did some serious building on it.

ok, maybe not serious, but i don't know what he has done to it and it just doesn't seem like he should take it that high if it just seems like he has no rev limiter.
So what else have you done besides take it past 6k to verify this problem? There is a ton of info, both here on H-T and the internet in general, detailing how to fix this problem.
