You remain a trial user for I believe 14 days or something.
After you loose the Trial User status, you can change your avatar by going into your "my Profile" located at the top right of the site. Click on "Avatar" and either choose from the 3 that are available or upload your own. Remember to read the Honda-Tech Terms of Service (has avatar guidelines) and use common sense when choosing a new avatar.
