Default dynomax super turbo catback

Question about the dynomax catback system. From the picture on summit racing (linked below) and the manual (linked below) it doesnt look like the pipes go all the way up to the cat. Is this true? It seems like it needs one more pipe. Am I missing something?

You are correct, it appears not to have the I pipe, how odd, it's like an axle back then.

That's a shame dnyomax makes a nice product.

ya not a cat-back but for that price you could buy 2.5 inch piping plus the muffler and do it yourself or take it to a muffler shop and have them do a cat-back. just my opinion. and yes dynomax does make good **** got there ultra-flos on my 75 T/A and it sounds awesome

The muffler shop quoted me 220 just for labor. the axle back is only 189 shipped, but I can't find the I pipe that I need. I have heard great things about that dynomax muffler (I want something not loud but good tone) so I want to stick with it. Just that muffler is $75 shipped. Plus 220 labor. I'm looking at over 100 more, (minus the cost of the pipe that I need if I can find it). The guy at the shop did say that he'd come down on the labor for me if I came back. What do you think? Do you know where I can find the I pipe, and do you think that I'd still be paying too much? The I pipe on that site looks like the same one that comes with the kit. Thanks for the answers.

http://store.summitracing.com/...00304 2.5 inch u-bends
http://store.summitracing.com/...00304 2.5 inch straight pipe
http://store.summitracing.com/...w=sku muffler
ok youll need
3 u-bends = $60
2 4 foot straight pipes = $24
and muffler = $15
grand total $99
now just cut it weld it and call it a day. or you could take all the pipe to a muffler shop and have them do it. even if it costs a little more your getting a whole cat-back with bigger piping. and 220 for labor is absolutely rediculous im sure you could find someone to do it for around 100. hell if i was in virginia id do it for 50.

omg, that 220 for labor is insane. I've had entire header-back systems custom made including new cat and muffler for a lot less than that. Was that place a midas or something because 220 is the biggest rip-off I've heard in a long time. My advice is to find a better muffler shop.
