Default Halfshafts

when replacing a clutch... do you only need to remove one halfshaft to drop tranny, or remove both?

well, you should only have 1 half shaft and 2 axles.

To drop the tranny, you'll need to remove both axles and the halfshaft.

If you dont have a halfshaft, then you have only 2 axles.

whats the difference between a halfshaft and a axle. is the shorter shaft a half shaft, and the longer one the axle? they both have cv joints (inner and outer) on them. whats the difference?
