Default LS engine in a 97?

Is it possible? Someone I know has a 97 LX coupe. The F22 is dying slowly. Doesn't have the money for an H22 right now so he is looking for something else, not another F22 though. He says he knows someone who can manage to get an LS with a b16 head into it and mounted, but he doesn't know if it would be smart to do. Would it be a better engine than a F22? Should he just say eff it and save up for the H22?

no it'd be slower than the f22 by far, the f22 is pushing it torque wise

gotta know ur specs for the engine u wanna put in it man.. u cant put a lower torqued engine in a heavy accord. Gotta atleast get the same torqure or more if you put in a diffrent engine then a f22.

theres plenty of larger displacement direct swaps he can look into...h23, f22b, f20a, etc. just have to look around

Like others have said, I wouldn't do that swap either.

Also, I thought I've seen some people swapping K series motors in Accords now? Correct me if I'm wrong please.

lol

you've seen one person swap a K

if anyone else were to do it it'd be custom mounts, etc there is the one Hasport accord with the K swap in it that's one of a kind

I heard that the Hasport 94-97 Accord K swap mounts were coming out soon. Here's hoping cause that can't be far off from dropping a K in the 90-93.

Snap, if they are it'll open up quite a bit more swappage for accords I'd be interested in seeing that.
