my first paint job got some ?
I used a single stage metallic paint, have a little orange peel and some runs. I was told i cant wet sand a ss metallic paint, anything I can do to fix the bad spots. Also do I need to wait a while before I claybar and wash it.

clay bar is for the top of the paint, cleaning, overspray , ect. it wont cut threw to block it down. maybe try to wet sand a little spot ,then buff it and see how it looks. oh and start with some really high grit paper like 2000

thanks for the help so far I only paid $900 for the car and I'm pretty happy with the outcome. If this was a nicer car I would have made room in the garage and taken my time, but its just a project car not to worried about it.
nason paint, for the most part I was happy with it, most of the problems I think are from me being in a hurry. There was a fine line from to thin and orange peel and to thick and runs. It doesnt help that I did my practice and gun adjustments while I was painting the car, but by the last coat I had it down. lol
The only way you'll get a run fixed right is to redo the panel it's on
Even if you were using BC/CC, it's really hard to get a run out to the point it's un-noticeable (without burning through).

clay bar you can do a few days after you paint it. to get the runs out you can try a buffer, but dont go through the clear. as for the orange peel, a lot of that depends on how well you preped the car before paint, so there isnt a lot you can do to fix it.
a buffer wont get the runs out of that ****.
repaint the panel, save yourself some heartache SERIOUSLY.
I always paint my own cars.

just respray the panel with the runs. a buffer will not get the runs out. you would need to take down the run with some high grit sand paper. say start with 1500 grit paper then bump it up to 200 then buff it out, but in a single stage metallic your kinda stuck

Looks good from the pics, not the driveway though. I used single stage nason paint one time and it proved to be pretty durable and had a nice shine and color (for my purpose). But yeah you better hope your neighbors don't get pissed, it's illegal to be doing that anyways, and good luck getting the red otu fo the driveway.
post some close up pics with reflections, I wanna see the quality.
