Tranny removal..
I just got my tranny mount out and now i cant get my tranny off. The tranny is as far off as it can possibly get, the back of the tranny is touching the side of the engine bay.. I am totally stumped..

I've swapped a transmission on my car before (CD5, 5sp 97) and had loose one motor mount to be able to lower the engine a little. But most important, the support for the tranny mount (which is attached with 3 big nuts) needs to go too, otherwise it will stop the engine.
BTW, have you loosen the bolts for the clutch to the flywheels already???

your basically just going to have to manouver(sp?) it out yourself..have a tranny jack under it and another friend start to lower it and just wiggle it and shove it and move it until it slides out..make sure you have all the bolts out...5 bell housing bolts i believe..tranny mount..whether its a 5 speed or auto you need to take out either the bolts that hold the flywheel to the clutch or bolts for the torque converter..make sure you have all connectors unplugged..it took me forever to get mine out also only because I had left a few bolts in i didnt notice..just double check everything and if you know its all out then just try to work it out yourself!
Yea, i have the tranny mount all the way out and the tranny almost all the way off. i can see the clutch and whole inside of the bell housing. And i dont know how i could take all the bolts off the clutch when the tranny is in the way. but i might try to remove a MM.
The studs where the tranny mount, mounts to are disabling it from it going any further back..

Which mount did you take out?
Thanks!
