Obd1 GSR into 99 cx hatch... HELP PLEASE!!!!!
Ok I just finished swapping my obd1 poor man type r swap into my 99 cx hatch. When I start the car it runs perfectly for about 30 seconds with no check engine light, then after about thirty seconds the check engine light comes on and the car starts caming and running poorly. I am running a chipped p28 with obd2 to obd1 jumper with a wiring harness that was converted by rywire. The only thing I can think of would be that i have an o2 sensor from my previous obd2 d series hooked up, the o2 sensor was rewired so that only 1 o2 sensor could be used because there was not enough wire for the second o2 sensor. I've tried pulling the code by using the paper clip and when the paper clip is inserted the check engine light just stays solid and when it is taken out the light goes off, so I cant pull codes. I'm sorry if this post was very confusing but im just looking for a little help to get me off and driving, any help would be greatly appreciated.
I Checked the 2 sensors and they are correct, when we were first trying to get the motor to crank it would not crank so one of my friends unplugged the map sensor and it cranked, so we took the map sensor off the d series and put it on the gsr, could this make a difference, i was told that the map sensors are the same is this true?
