Default My $400 Hatch.

'91 STD Hatch 4 Speed.

I just picked it up today for 400 bucks. It does have some rust on the QP, but I don't think it's too late to take care of. It runs strong(considering it has a D15). Seems like a decent deal so far.

I'm going to work on the body 1st, then worry about a swap.

I'm going to hit up the junkyard today to see if I can snag a door and hood. It really needs a new drivers door. The hood has a dent in the front. Needs a new driver's side fender as well. Lucky me, I have 2 new OEM fenders laying around.

I'll have pictures up by this afternoon.

I did find a decent hood and door at the junkyard today. Gonna try to get at least the door sanded down later tonight and spray painted and put on. That door on it now is horrible.

A hammer and a bit of putty would fix that hood no problem, the door n fender is all I would worry about for now

I have a rust free door now.

The hood looks a lot worse in reality.

Think the QPs are going to be a major problem?

The only way to know for sure is to start digging around. The QPs are the worst spot for rust on our vehicles, be prepared for the worst.

I'm not too worried about the driver's side QP, but the pass. is a bit rusty. It seems confined to a small area. I don't think it has began the cancerous spread yet. I hope I can fix it with some Bondo for now.

Even with the rust...I don't think its too bad for 400 clams.

Thanks.

I'll keep this updated with pictures as they come.

It probably wont be until next week sometime before I can get my hands on the QPs.

Friday is my last day of classes, but there is rain on the way. So who knows.

Underbody is spotless. It is crazy clean, the guy said he undercoated it every year.

I'm going to attempt to clean the body up.

If it turns out to be a MAJOR pain I'm going to keep the same motor in it and drive it til she drops.

I'm hoping I can get the body to look fairly decent though, not show room or anything, just decent.

I just realized the tail lights are spray painted black.

Doesn't look bad from a distance, but up close you can see hella runs.

They better come clean...
