Glad to be part of such a impressive forum.

I am a Toyota man..own 4 vehicles and they're all Toy's...Brother is a Honda Man so he talked my wife into a used 96 1 owner Accord with the V6 with 88K on it, really clean car...I like it.
Yesterday the compressor started rattling like crazy when engaged...quite when off. Got so bad now that when you engage compresser it pulls engine down hard and clicks off on its own immediatly then on...then off...then...
So to me the Compressor seems froze up.

I do AC work on home units...capable of pulling a vacum..also can swap timing chains, heads and do rebuilds on TOYS with my eyes closed...so I am wondering should I buy a rebuilt compressor/hydrator unit for 400$ and swap it out myself (is it very hard to do?) or just take it on into Honda and have them do it? if so gow much $$$?
Have 3 business and time is a issue so I have no idea of reputable mechanic to do it for me so honda is only people i would trust outside myself.
