car blew up the distributor or something earlier i get another distributor now its throwin a CEL for code 9 now what can i do to fix this problem?somebody help please

 

Well id try this. Disconnect the negative battery cable for five to ten mins. That should rest ur ecu. Now reconect it and if that doesn't work id check all the wiring. Question? Did u buy the distributor new? Second, U said it blew up how bad did it blow up? and if it was bad there might be some damaged wires. Code 9 is CYP Sensor (Cylinder) check connections and see if theres debris in the connection. see if that helps.

 

well I had the same problem with my distributor, code 9, it's some sensor in the distributor that can't be replaced, so I just boght the hole distributor itself at a junk yard, also code 9 was not letting my vtec kick in

 

I have a code 9 and code 41 and car runs good starts right up but shuts off after a few minutes. Will code 9 do this or is it something else.
