Default All B18B owners

im picking up an integra ls soon and id like to know what would be better for daily. im only looking for around 180-200whp
Ls/Vtec or just slap on a Greddy Turbo Kit and call it a day. probably looking around to spend $5-6 CDN. please vote and state your opinion and put down any other options that are out there. thanks!

with that kind of budget you can get a greddy kit.... i dont know what your smog laws are like but in the states the greddy kits can pass smog so they are always a good buy... and out of your options the greddy kit will defitnatly produce the most power.... ls vtec is fun but turbo is just like vtec too.. but bigger!!!
if you look really hard and find a cheap vtec head maybe you can do both turbo and vtec...

but yeah if you want to get to 200whp turbo will EASILY get you there.... well... it will get you there way faster than NA Vtec will....

trust me bro. for your goals turbo is clearly the answer.

I have a turbo b20 btw... i had come to the same crossroads in 2005... turbo or vtec and i am glad i went with turbo....

You mean total...? With or w/o the car? If w/o then LS/Vtec-T it. If total then turbo it... I would kinda go all out on turbo though... like first upgrade cams/piston/clutch/exhaust/header/etc.. but then you would be over your budget. The enless possiblities...

turbo FTW, both worlds German Boost, and Honda vtec , go with a custom turbo setup probably better then the greddy kit, but if your only looking for around 180-200whp then the greddy kit should do fine for you. Make sure you get a ems, Hondata would be a great choice, and have it dyno/tuned immediately after install, and post up your numbers and result of your build. GL!

why greddy? look at the Drag gen 3. less money and you can make 250whp range. no more or less than greddy

i havent really looked into turbos alot.. like ive been lookin into hks greddy and full race for the rsx. ive heard of rev hard, drag, and so on.. this car is for my girl and she doesnt need anything too powerfull. 180whp is what im lookin for and 200whp is pushing it.

OMG! Chick with a Teg plus it's turbo, Dammz I wish my girl likes Teg, haha. Lexus IS FTL. Greddy Kits should be fine then. How can you be on a budget if your gona boost a Teg then boost a RSX... I guess money grows on tree for you sir. j/k

For a daily driver a turbo is pointless. A VTEC head will give you some solid horsepower, be reliable and significantly cheaper than a turbo. It'll be cheaper not only in initial cost but also long term repairs. Turbos require more upkeep than a VTEC engine so unless you desperately need the extra 20 ponies, don't bother.

Looks like you can get a head for less than 1000 on these boards. I don't know anything about the supercharger.
