Default little stupid black tube

When i removed my intake manifold during an engine rebuild i broke a little stupid black solid plastic tube going from the intake manifold to something on the block. Is this a necessary line? I guess its a vaccuum, what i want to know is if it would be safe to just plug up each side of it because im sick of trying to fix it.

the car runs, thankfully after all the **** ive done in this rebuild. but i know leaving a line open like that will expletive me over later somehow. I cant replace the tube cuz its stuck in the manifold as if its part of it. maybe i just need 2 pieces of bubble gum
