You should talk to the shop that you are getting the kit from...see what they say.

If you didnt already do it....dont do it.I did it and I regret it.They just installed a door popper along with my alarm so when I hit the disarm button, the door will pop open.

Why don't you like it? I'm considering doing it on my ride - I've always liked the look. Wondering how much of a pain in the butt it would be, though.

I have shaved handles on my em1 and its the biggest mistake I ever made. THEY SUCK, you better get a back up battery and emergency pull cord (I have one if you want it) if your battery dies your f'ed. Also those buttons they give you to "hide" so you can open your door from the outside if you happen to leave your keys in the car, SUCK. They will fall apart and I hope you will never need to start your car and go back in your house cuz guess what, once you come outside one day and the little button that you "hide" is broke!..yeah you aint getting in your car unless you have a spare remote and if not then you need to climb through the trunk. THEY ARE TRASH unless its for show, definitely not for DD. just my .02.

Ive had mine for over 5 years and in the beginning I liked it.But then I went to the track and they didnt let me run because of that. Then I locked my keys in the car and was screwed. Then my batterey died and I was screwed again. There was just to many small things that happened that annoys me about it.As soon as I can,I will be putting a door handle back on.Some will say it looks tacky or ghetto but Im going to leave the passenger side shaved and just worry about the driver. If I had the chance to do it over again,I wouldnt do it.

soooo i guess your not building a track car.
your going to have to jimmy rig some ghetto coat hangers through your window if you ever want to track the car becasue it has to be openable by handle from the exterior

Depends on where you go.I went to one place that was really up on what they were doing, and wouldnt even inspect it.I went to another track, and they didnt even check.

Bottom line, it's really inconvenient.

1) When your battery dies
2) Putting anything in your car when you have your hands full.
3) Putting anything in your trunk, then having to get back in.
4) If you break your remote you're F'ed royally and for most out $40-100 depending on the remote.
5) and you have to install specific door lock actuators, (another $100+)
