94 prelude h23 cold air intake question
ok... the instructions that came with the intake are confusing. it says install the small rubber vacuum line plug on the manifold where the vacuum line from the iac solenoid valce was removed. i don't understand. i right now have the two vacuum hoses from the IAC that still need to go somewhere and i don't understand what the instructions said to do with them and i have two open nipples that passed coolant through and one was apart of the breather line assembly and the other went to the nipple directly under the inlet pipe mount at the intake. please someone help make sense of what i need to do to finish...
dude its really easy the vacum lines the short one u make a small hole on the rubber part connecting to t/b just a small hole so that u have to push the vacum line threw then u do the same for the long one that ends up at the bottom. then where the pipe connecting to go to the bottom that rubber peace you make a small hole with like a screw and u force the vacum hose threw there also. HENCE if u do not do this when u hit the gas the car will stay think ur still hitting the gas for like 1 split second. its very anoying. so make sure u put everything where its at. also the line coming from the engine the air vacum goes on the nipple of the tube of ur intake. and there u go your set
the instructions didn't mention anything about making holes in the tubes so i'm not sure what you mean. and my bigger problem is the two nipples that push radiator fluid through. it's confusing what they said about (if at all) what needs to be plugged in to them.

It's time to stop, step away from the car and take a break.
Maybe even take the car to a shop...you should not be touching any coolant hoses to install a simple intake.
Your intake should have come with 2 nipples welded onto it for air (unless you bought the ebay special for $20). On is for the crankcase breather line, and the other for a vacuum line for a small valve on the other side of the intake manifold.

you're definitely right. first of all, it's a AEM V2 intake. i had to remove the IAC and the resonator box per the instructions. and second, the pictures depicted in the instructions had a slightly different engine layout than mine (i think it was the h22, not the h23) so the hoses i unplugged and re ran something a new pipe to was definitely not right. i ended up connected those two nipples to what they originally went to and plugged the vacuum line that was left over from the IAC. I then started it up and took it for a test drive, so far the only noticable difference is it sounds a lot more deep throated... the bad *** kind.

it really doesnt matter weather it was for a h22 or h23..the setup is for the most part the same. its really not that hard to do. take the stock of and put the aftermarket on. your making it harder than it really is.
