OT: Cool stuff from old friend in Japan
Hey Guys,
I don't post in here much (or hardly at all) but I find most of you guys to be amusing and feel like I know you all because I read the posts so much.
Anyways, I talked to an old friend from Japan recently, and got some inside scoop on Circuit Racing and many other things in Japan. He sent some pics of his car and his friends cars. Fumi (my friend) just started a team called HONDA VERNO HEIAN RACING (http://www.hoa.jp/), and is sponsored by Honda Japan.
He worked with Spoon and Mugen for while also, because he said Spoon had no interest in helping to fix up the DC5, but Mugen did.
This is his personal car. He said,"My car is DC2 Integra Type-R now. 96 spec body is most light weight and
98 spec motor is little bet better so mine is that combination now. 96
spec's body and 98 spec motor on it. "
If there are any questions you guys want me to ask him, just let me know and I will.
P.S. YES, I am going to work out something to have some parts sent over here.

DRFlickner - Can you ask him a question for me please? I have a 1996 Spec JDM Type-R which was imported to the UK a couple of years back.
My problem is trying to find out about the brake rotors and general brake setup on the car. The rotors are smaller that the 98 Spec, but I am finding it very difficult to source these, even Honda UK dont know what part they are and 12 months later they are still no where near finding them(Fronts and Rears).
I have heard on this board that a popular budget conversion of 96Spec is to take the setup from a prelude and upgrade various parts.
My questions are :-
1. What spec Prelude donor car should I be looking for if this conversion is possible.
2. What parts do i need? Just calipers and new discs and pads? or hubs, driveshafts etc?
I appreciate if you can ask him this as in the UK I am finding it very difficult to find this information, there only seems to be a handful of these cars in the UK and the other owners are finding it just as difficult.

92-6 prelude 4x114.3 11" prelude rotors (found on H22A equipped cars), most likly the same as 94+ Accord SiR (4x114.3) and 98+ ITR/CTR calipers/pads or 91-4 Accord wagon calipers

I'm sure he wouldn't mind sendin' it over. Of course, you'd have to battle me for it.
